Peter Roos is a graduate of UCT and Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He has been in private practice in Cape Town since 1981 and actively engaged in a busy obstetric practice until 2015. He promoted the role o the private midwife and encouraged, within the realms of safety, women’s choice in their obstetric care. Since 1981 he’s has been a part time specialist and lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Cape Town, where he is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor . He is also past president of the SA Menopause Society and member of IUGA and the International Menopause Society.
