What is Kosher? In 2014, Mintel did a study in the US on why Kosher has been the fastest growing global food trend, when only 0,3% of the population are Jewish. We investigate why quality conscious, lactose intolerant and vegetarians choose Kosher products over non-kosher products. An informative talk about what Kosher is and the importance of kosher in food production in South Africa today.

Speaker biography:
Rabbi Dovi Goldstein is the MD for the BD Kosher department of South African. He studied in Israel and received his rabbinical ordination from Yeshivat Hanegev. In 2007 he was appointed as the rabbi and senior spiritual leader of the OhrSavoy community. Rabbi Dovi is a husband and father to 5 beautiful children and a has an adventurous side having completed 2 Ironman competitions and climbed Kilimanjaro. He is extremely passionate about Kosher and delivering on the vision of more people, eating more kosher, more often for less cost.
